Are you delivering culturally conscious instruction in the classroom…or are you culturally comatose? Could your unconscious behaviors be a contributing factor to teaching and learning achievement gaps? Dr. McLeod will be sharing her insights on the positive effect a culturally aware educator can have on the future of MISD students. Participants in this session will identify the unconscious biases that influence our work with MISD students. Dr. McLeod’s delivery style is research-based, reflective, and engaging—and will help us examine the beliefs that may be holding our students back.
