Mathematical modeling is the process by which solutions to big, open ended questions can be found systematically. This process can be performed by children, Pre-K though college, and creates tasks with a low floor and a high ceiling that allow children of all abilities to contribute to the conversation. In this session, teachers will learn about the math modeling process while answering a question of their own.
